St. Dominic’s School, also known as an 853 School, services a diverse population of students with social-emotional needs, neurological impairments and learning disabilities. Many of our students suffer from excessive fears and anxiety, as well as worries about not fitting in.

St. Dominic’s School provides a therapeutic milieu that emphasizes safety, structure, and clarity of behavioral expectations. Our staff employs a pro-active approach to anticipate and plan for our student’s needs.

An individualized plan is formulated for each student; administrators, teachers, and counselors meet on a regular basis to insure that each child is maximizing his or her potential.

Together, staff, students and families work toward building a program providing each student with a fresh start and an opportunity to re-experience all of the positive feelings that a school can provide.
